A Kingdom With A Heart

A Kingdom With A Heart

Long ago and far away, at the far end of the galaxy, there was a little village by the name of Happy. Everyone knew each other; helped each other and when someone needed something, the others helped out.

Take the time when Mr. Pringle needed help. A storm had demolished his roof and he had to get It put back so as not to ruin anything inside the house. All the neighbors pitched in and got his roof back on in short order. He and Mrs. Pringle cooked a huge meal and everyone ate together in the yard. They laughed and carried on most of the day. After that, the ladies helped clean the mess up. Talk about helping each other!

The village was quaintly built in the fairy-tale type buildings. Different kinds of shops lined both sides of the street. From here, I can see a Millinery shop full of every kind and type of hat you can imagine! And the all the feathers to put on them. Every kind, color, shape, and length! My, you never saw the like!

Then, The Barber Shop. Sounds to me me as though the men got a haircut and a shave while the ladies shopped for new hats. Sounds good to me!

On the other side and down a bit was the livery stable. It kept horses, carriages, and would tend to the horses that stayed over night. All in all, it was quite a growing concern.

A village was not a village without a dress-maker. And Mrs. Bailey was the best in these parts and the surrounding area. She had golden hands! There she is, talking to Constable John. Telling him about the upcoming ball. Fall is coming and Happy would be having their annual ball announcing the change of seasons.

Sarah’s Writing

Hey everyone! Nice to meet you!

Although I’ve been writing for 10 years, I wasn’t sure how to get established with it. I wrote poetry to start out. At that time, there wasn’t much call for poetry. In fact, in my researching, some places would specify no poetry. That grew to be frustrating. After that, I started working on stories; short ones to be exact. One day a friend told me I should write a romance novel. I had to sit down! Cause never had I thought about a novel! However, the thought stayed with me and eventually I started writing short stories and have been since. Right now I’m polishing a really good one. It’s geared to young children. I’m about to decide this is my favorite.

I sure would like to here from you. It will give me a since of how I’m doing.

You’ve written your book. Now your ready to publish it. However, how do you get started? Where is a good place to go? If so inclined, you can avail yourself of the local newspaper, or radio stations or perhaps TV. Give X number away. There are raffles. It is my opinion that all of these are good. Choose the one you feel the best about using..

Sometimes

Sometimes

There are times when life comes down so hard, we just have to back away. We feel that everything has suddenly begun crashing down on us. Our minds tell us no understands. This leaves us to our own devices and feeling so very much alone.

However, are we wrong?…. Just because we look at something one way and others look at it another? Does that really make us wrong? I tend not necessarily. To me it says I look at something one way and you look at it another. That’s the difference God instilled us that makes us different.

Why is it? What is it in us as humans that we feel we must control others. God gave each one of us a head and a brain and the ability to choose right from wrong and wrong from right. No one will ever make all the right decisions. However, each one has been given the right to make them and at least they made a decision and didn’t sit on the fence doing nothing.

When we look to God to see us through all things, and let Him show us the way. His way… , it’s the best thing we can do.

Don’t Quit

Don’t Quit

When things go wrong as they sometimes will;

When the road you’re trudging seems all uphill;

When the funds are low, and the debts are high;

And you want to smile, but you have to sigh;

When care is pressing you down a bit –

Rest if you must, but don’t you quit.

Success is failure turned inside out;

The silver tint of the clouds of doubt.

And you can never tell how close you are;

It may be near when it seems afar.

So, stick to the fight when you’re hardest hit –

It’s when things go wrong that you mustn’t quit.

Dumb Things

Have you ever done a dumb thing? I think we all have at one time or another. Well, I did a dandy! I did some

some writing last night, then put it up. Here we are at the end of the day and I have not seen it.

I do not know what I did with it. However, it will show up tomorrow.

Instgram

I wasn’t expecting this one. Although, with all the advances in technology, maybe I should have. I’ve been trying to figure out just how it works. Is it in a place separate from the tweets? Are you allowed just so much bandwidth to tell your story? How do you access where you want to go? As I said, this one threw me a ringer, even though I am intrigued with it.

When We Need Encouragement

This is one of the many good things to have. Without it, you will get down, depressed or similar. To work through it, you need a trusted friend to talk to, or if you are comfortable with it, a Pastor. Rest assured the above will keep you in confidence.

Do you want to sleep to much or not enough? How about eating those comfort foods? Perhaps too chocolate candy. You know too this especially, in moderation.

Once you identify your stressors, it will  become easier over time to work through things. Then, a pat on the

back! For Sure!
